Stonecrest is very pleased to be able to make our second grant in support of New Hope for Girls, an organization that operates in Tanzania and assists women and girls who have been marginalized by society.  Their vision is that the girls will become empowered, independent, and will support other women and girls in Tanzania and beyond.

With the critical support and management provided by African Road, a U.S.-based nonprofit, New Hope for Girls is currently raising funds to build a dedicated facility for their organization. African Road creates long-term relationships with local changemakers in East African communities, providing support through collaborative project development and strategic funding. As of June 2025, $416,000 had been raised in support of the project, and a parcel of land was purchased inside the city limits, in an area that is ideally located for accessing schools, medical resources, and transit.

Stonecrest’s current grant will be utilized by African Road to contribute to the construction costs of the new facility. New Hope for Girls the the brainchild of Consoler Eliya, who is the Founder and Executive Director of the Organization. Consoler has a PhD in Social work and Bachelors in sociology. She hails from Kilimanjaro region and is married with two children. Consoler founded New Hope for Girls after surviving her own harrowing struggle.

We continue to be amazed by the work of Consoler and we are proud to support the growth and success of New Hope for Girls.
